SOMETIMES IN ORDER TO MOVE FORWARD...
                                                  YOU NEED TO LOOK BACK

C

ONGRATULATIONS! YOU'VE MADE IT! YOU'RE IN, OR HAVE RECENTLY FINISHED YOUR FINAL YEAR OF HIGH SCHOOL. YEARS OF LEARNING, STUDYING, MATURING INTO THE AMAZING PERSON YOU ARE TODAY! YOU'RE STANDING ON THE THRESHOLD OF THE REST OF YOUR LIFE...

You’ve been told God has a ‘plan and purpose for your life’, that he wants to give you ‘a future and a hope’, that ‘He will make your paths straight’ and ‘direct your steps’ *. And yet we know that navigating your future can be overwhelming at best, terrifying at worst. At ‘One Life’ we’re here to help. This summer we have chosen to partner with Chateau Le Mur in Brittany, France where you can dive deep into discipleship, discover your calling, grow in Christ and clarify God’s purpose for you as an individual.

Ps. 33;11, Jer.29:11, Prov. 3:5-6,  Prov. 16:11

WHY FRANCE ? WHY BRITTANY? WHY CHATEAU LE MUR?

The Le Mur Estate is situated in the Forest of Brocéliande, home to the legendary King Arthur, his knight’s and their ancient stories of honor and valor.  The Medieval Manoir du Mur (where students will be housed) dating from the 13th Century, was at one time home to members of the legendary order of ‘The Knight’s Templar’.  What people often fail to understand is that the original Knights of old were originally formed by the church to serve Christ the King, and followed a strict order of conduct and code of honor. Their passion and purpose was to commit their lives to bringing the Kingdom of Heaven to earth as outlined in the scriptures.

At the 2 week ‘Reset’ program, you will have the opportunity to grow in Christian character, clarify your calling, and develop relational wisdom through living in community. You will hear from international speakers that are changing the world, whom at one time stood at the exact same place you are now.  The rich history at Le Mur serves as a launching pad for learning how Christianity impacted the history, culture and art of Brittany and France. We believe that taking a closer look at history will serve to impact your present and help guide your future. Because sometimes in order to move forward you need to look back.

During the course of the program, students will experience a variety of field trips that will compliment the teachings and philosophy of the OneLife program. You will experience firsthand activities, art (both performing and visual), architecture and artifacts that reflect the colorful Christian history of France.
